WORLD OF WARCRAFT 3.0.9 patchnotes

Druids

* Ferocious Bite: This ability now only uses up to 30 energy in addition to its base cost.

Hunters

* Kindred Spirits (Beast Mastery): This talent now grants 20% pet damage at max rank.

* Serpent’s Swiftness (Beast Mastery): This talent now grants 20% pet attack speed at max rank.

World of Warcraft DeathKnight creation FAIL

Ok, first and foremost.. everyone was so excited to create their death knight on other servers. For those who dont know what I’m talking about,  the new patch was supposed to let players who have a level 55+ character create a Death Knight on any realm… now due to greed and the greater good of their paid character transfer option, Blizzard decided to cancel the DK creation freedom.


And I quote:

Update- 3:30 PM PST

Please be aware that select players are currently able to create death knights on realms other than the one they currently have a level 55+ character on while others are still unable to do so at this time. We are currently working to address this issue and anticipate this to be corrected as of tonight’s rolling restarts. We will post additional updates after the completion of the restarts.

It was anticipated that with the release of the current patch, 3.0.8, players would be able to create a new death knight on any realm within their region. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are not able to make this available as of yet. We do anticipate making this available in the near future and will do our best to keep everyone informed of when this becomes available.

Please keep in mind that when implemented restrictions will still apply to new, non-transfer realms such that death knights cannot be created on those realms until you level a character to level 55 on that realm or until transfer restrictions are removed.

I guess the illusion of Blizzard being noble and giving had to end soon. HURRAY FOR FUCKIN PAID CHARACTER TRANSFER!’

I know a world of deathknights sounds bad but this wouldve been a good way to populate the lowpopulated servers…

  • Bonus Armor: The mechanics for items with bonus armor on them has changed (any cloth, leather, mail, or plate items with extra armor, or any other items with any armor). Will nothing beat WOW?

In terms of sales as an MMO or even as a game… There’s no denying the fact that World of Warcraft is sweeping the nation. I’ve played tons of MMOs but nothing seems to beat the epic feeling of WOW. Now I sure do hope you wont think that this is just another fanboy article… rather a comparison of why World of Warcraft is the best MMO of all time.

Is the lore the game’s selling factor? or is it the gameplay? We all know that WoW ’s visuals is basically just Warcraft 3 on steroids.

“Digital genital stroking” as Cake would call it is probably what made Blizzard’s masterpiece stand. One trailer could move you into buying your own copy just by staring at a couple of scenes mixed with the epic orchestra music. I remember looking for a specific MMO back then… peeking into private servers to test the game before hitting retail. WoW really took MMOs to a different level. I honestly don’t know how to explain it so I guess you have to see it for yourself. Reading reviews and watching in-game footage is not enough to show you what WOW is like. General

* Players may now create death knights on any realm once they reach level 55.

* Racial restrictions on mounts have now been lifted. Night elves on mechanostriders? Tauren on raptors? You’re not seeing things.
* Tapping: All player spells which cause a creature to become aggressive to you will now also immediately cause the creature to be tapped.
* A new mailbox is now available at the Crows Tavern in the Dalaran Sewers.
* We have added over 60 new graveyards to Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.
* The run speed in spirit form has been increased by 50%. Night Elves in Wisp form will now move at 75% speed.
