The Prowess of a PC gamer: Was the PC meant to play games?

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Dont you just wish that PC games wont have extra price tags everytime you buy em? I’m sure you know what I mean… yesterday you bought FarCry 2 and thought your PC was the powerhouse of the century… seconds later, GTA4 tells you that you cant even run the game on low settings. This is probably the PC Gamer’s worst nightmare. You’ll burn your credit card in the process that I assure you.

Aside from losing tons of money, you’ll often find yourself smothering your ass with bugs that would probably be addressed weeks after you’ve purchased the game. Lets face it, the PC isnt noob friendly…

Console gaming: Insert Disk, Download update (*Optional), pick up controller, play online (*Optional), Enjoy

PC Gaming ver 1: Insert disk/Download copy(*Optional),Install, type CD-key, Check stock for controller if recommended, get mouse and keyboard, enjoy
PC Gaming ver 2: Insert disk/Download copy (*Optional), Install, Type in CD-key (If problem persists, go to tech support), Problem (Wait for a patch), PC having a hard time ( update your driver), PC wasnt strong enough (Buy more buffs for your PC), tweak settings to optimize gameplay, pick up keyboard and mouse (Adjust the sensitivity to suit your playstyle), Enjoy???

yeah… thats a lot of fun. Dont get me wrong though, I still think that PC games rock. its just that sometimes i wish that PC games arent that demanding… if only games would have the same meta requirements.

GameBrood wants you to try: Katamari Damacy

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Remember what its like to be a kid rolling over things with you ball? hmmm guess not. Anyway, lets dig the grave of one of the most heartwarming game of all time. YEP! KATAMARI DAMACY! No matter how pissed or how bloodthirsty you are, nothing can soften you up better than Katamari Damacy. Its popularity zoomed to astonishing heights as people started to join prince in his journey to make a katamari bigger than the cosmos! this game never fails to give me a smile and I hope it brightens up your day too!

ROYAL RAINBOW: One of the most familiar lines in the game and probably the first thing that would get you all “What…. The f-f–fff… I CANT SAY FU–!!! I’M TOO HAPPY!”

Correct me if I’m wrong but… I think Katamari Damacy is the most unique game ever made. Rolling over objects has never been this fun and being a total retard while rolling over cities makes it even more fun LOL.

Anyway, on to our little discussion…

Katamari Damacy is about a the King of all Cosmos (it’d probably be better we just call him GOD) who suddenly became foolish and destroyed all the stars in the galaxy (Whoah. and I thought this game was all innocent). Having to realize the folly of his ways, the king sent his only son (Hmm… sounds familiar) to make a katamari big enough to roll over everything just so they could repair the damage he caused.

Katamari: A katamari is a ball that looks much like an average stress ball that has a weird magnetic energy that makes everything stick to it (and makes everything else stick to whatever it sticks to). Hmm… confusing eh? I did my best… -_-

The level designs are pretty weak but the gameplay makes up fot it. The soundtrack is all jiggly and would probably get you dancing around and spinning your head while you roll over things in the game. this game… is Japan’s way of telling us that they are about to take over the world (Well of course aside from anime).

All in all Katamari is a great game for all ages. Just because you’re all dirtied up by Locust blood doesnt mean this game cant turn that frown upside down!!! WOOO!!!!

*Here’s a hug…

ROYAL RAINBOW!!!! BRING IN THE LOVE!!!!

Slow transition for a fast-paced gamer RAWR!

Its been a while since I gave my brother the 360. Thing of the matter is that the graphics are getting kinda weak (Which is why I’m focused on getting a PS3)… or maybe I’m just picky… I’ve had my share of regrets, especially after seeing Gears of War 2. I kinda miss being a console gamer.
