Possibly Fake Valve Email Linked to Scam Site

Valve is giving away games to Steam users for free? Now that’s just too good to be true. It’s recently been revealed that Valve’s special email may not be from Valve at all. Hit the link for the suspicious email message.
Just wanted to give you guys the heads up about this potential scam going around through email. There is an email that I received today that offers a free Valve game to kick off the new year, but if you click that link you are directed to valveservers35.t35.com where you are asked to login with your Value information.

yea, now they are going around spamming people it through steam chat,
i almost fell for it but, i didnt want to risk anything after reading the URL. it was like valve1.t36.com or something and i though oh hey, why would valve need to put a 1 aftet there name when making a website? they could just buy th original dmonain…. so yea watch out…

and actually a way around this to make sure valve really is giving somehting away free. open up a new tab and go to the real steam page, log in and refresh the potentially dangerous page. if your not logged in there too it is a scam.
